The George C. Shields Council 420 kicked off its 4th Annual Thanksgiving Pie Sale this past weekend. Feel free to print the form below and drop it off with your payment at any Mass this coming weekend (11/10 & 11/11).
The torch has been passed.....Chris Herrick elected Grand Knight of the George C. Shields Council # 420 for Fraternal Year 2018-2019
In June, the George C. Shields Council # 420 conducted its annual election of officers for the upcoming Fraternal Year, We are happy to announce that Christopher Herrick has been elected as the Grand Knight effective July 1st. The other officers elected can be seen on the About Us tab. Below is a photo of current GK Chris Goldner, on the right, handing the gavel to incoming GK Chris Herrick on the left. Thank You Immediate Past Grand Knight Chris Goldner for your dedication and service to our council and St. Mary's Parish.
The George C. Shields Council # 420 won the 2018 State KofC Community Service Award at the Massachusetts State Convention in Hyannis on May 20th.
In Fraternal Year 2016-2017, the George C. Shields KofC Council # 420 achieved Star Council by being awarded the Columbian Award for all their council activities and for reaching both their new membership goal and their insurance member goal. In the photo above Massachusetts State Deputy Paul O'Sullivan (on the left) made a special trip to come to present the prestigious Star Council plaque in person during the December council meeting to Grand Knight Chris Goldner (on the right). CONGRATULATIONS to all members of council # 420 for your hard work in achieving this wonderful recognition !

Please stop by the front entrance of St. Mary's Church this weekend to purchase a pie or two for Thanksgiving. As well, if you wish, you can donate a pie to North Cottage. Feel free to print the form below and complete it and bring it with you to Mass this weekend or just complete a form after Mass this weekend.
Attached below are photos from the 2017 State Charity Ball in which Mansfield Council # 420 had two tables. The funds raised from this Charity Ball are used to help support children and young adults with special needs.
Thanks to all the Brothers and their children that helped spruce up the section of St. Mary's Cemetery around the Crucifixion Monument this evening. It was a lot of fun and it looks great ! Below are some photos from the event.
