Congratulations to Elizabeth Riley & Tom DeRosa both winners of KofC scholarships who also were awarded a number of additional awards at the Senior Awards Ceremony on Tuesday evening 5/31 at Bishop Feehan High School. In the Fall Elizabeth will be attending Stonehill College and Tom will be attending Mount St. Mary's in Maryland. Thank you to Brother Glenn Loiselle for helping to coordinate our attendance and for his participation in the awards ceremony. The George C. Shields Council # 420 was awarded the prestigious "Culture of Life Service Award"5/22/2016 On 5/22, at the Annual Massachusetts State KofC Convention down in Hyannis, MA the George C. Shields Council # 420 of Mansfield, MA was awarded the Culture of Life Service award for all the hard work and effort to raise the funds for the purchase of an Ultra Sound device installed at the Abundant Hope Pregnancy Resource Center in Attleboro. Congratulations to Tom DeRosa, pictured above as always helping out at St. Mary's Chuch, who is our 2016 recipient of the Mansfield KofC Council # 420 College Scholarship. Tom will be attending Mount St. Mary's University in Maryland in the Fall.
On Sunday 5/1/16 the Knights of Columbus Council # 420 conducted its quarterly Pancake Breakfast in St. Mary's Parish Rose Garden to raise funds to support Seminarian Juan Carlos Munoz while he continues his studies for the Priesthood at St. John"s Seminary in Brighton, MA. Fortunately Juan was able to join us at the event this quarter to meet the Knights and thank everyone for their generosity.
