Gregg T. Laskoski, age 38 of Norton, formerly of Ledyard, CT passed away in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his loving family, on Monday, November 2, 2015.
He was the beloved husband of Loren E. (Millard) Laskoski, to whom he was wed for the past eight years. The couple recently renewed their wedding vows on October 3, 2015 at Mission Church in Boston.
Born in Westerly, Rhode Island on June 24, 1977, he was the loving son of Thomas T. and JoAnn (Aiello) Laskoski of Ledyard, Connecticut.
Gregg grew up and was educated in Ledyard. He was a 1995 graduate of Ledyard High School, where he played on the soccer team and served as a co-captain. He continued his studies, graduating from the University of Connecticut.
Gregg had worked as an Archaeologist at the Public Archaeology Laboratory in Pawtucket. He recently received his teacher’s certification from Bridgewater State University and was eagerly looking forward to a career as a middle school history teacher.
Gregg’s greatest passion in life was his family, especially being a devoted father to his daughter. He had made his home in Norton for the past six years, and was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Mansfield and a member of the George C. Shields Council 420 Knights of Columbus.
He was an avid disc golfer and enjoyed hiking with his family and dog “Roxy”, their favorite local destination being Borderland State Park in Easton.
Gregg also loved traveling and trips to the beach. He was avid New England sports fan, enjoyed visiting different baseball stadiums, and would be considered by those who knew him as a knowledgeable “history buff”.
In addition to his beloved wife and loving parents, he is survived by his cherished daughter Evelyn E. Laskoski. He was the devoted brother of Jennifer A. Osborne and her husband Steven of Foxboro. He was the dear son in law of Everett and Elizabeth Millard of Bridgewater. He was the devoted brother in law of Peter Millard of Weymouth and Gregory Millard and his wife Christina of Austin, Texas. He was the loving uncle of Troy, Morgan and Kiley Osborne, and Trevor and Jake Millard. He is also survived by his devoted aunts, uncles and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, Gregg’s family has requested that donations in his memory be made to Evelyn E. Laskoski Trust Fund, care of North Easton Savings Bank, 25 West Main St., Norton, MA 02766
